It is a normal day in Chamkhar, Bumthang.  But the commercial hub of the dzongkhag wears a deserted look with most shops closed.

Nothing has happened. Most businesses have moved to Chhoekhor in upper Bumthang. The business, at least for a few days, is in Chhoekhor. The annual auctioning of cordyceps draws a huge crowd. It literally is a business day.
