Days before the Global Big Day on May 4—international bird-watching—Bhutan has recorded Pied Thrush as the fourth new bird species this year after Great Bittern.

A senior Forester in Jigme Dorji National Park, Phub Dorji, along with six of his birding friends from India, sighted the species in Chukha on April 17.
