Lhuentse tops voter turnout in facilitation booths

Polling officials for 17 of the 33 polling stations in Lhuentse left for their respective polling stations yesterday. A total of 130 polling officials and 99 security officials are deployed for the poll day with 66 EVMs. The dzongkhag has 16,581 registered voters.

Lhuentse saw a 95.8 percent voter turnout at the postal ballot facilitation booths (FB), the highest among the dzongkhags. The dzongkhag saw 92 percent voter turnout in the primary round, also the highest in the country.
