Three people were injured and two vehicles were severely damaged after an excavator toppled above the Gyelyong Tshokhang in Langjophakha yesterday.

According to an eyewitness, the driver jumped off the excavator after realising that the brake failed. “The moving excavator crashed into a Celerio taxi going towards Taba and smashed an Astar parked at the Gyelyong Tshokhang parking.”

The taxi driver, the excavator operator and a woman passenger suffered minor injuries.

The incident that happened at around 11am gathered huge crowd including the Prime Minister.
