Football (women): SAFF U-15

In the opening of SAFF U-15 Women’s championship Sri Lanka went down (12-0) against India at the Changlingmithang stadium in Thimphu yesterday. Shilky Devi of India scored the first goal of the tournament and also the first hat trick of the championship.

Sri Lanka is playing the championship for the first time. In another match, Bangladesh thrashed debutant Pakistan (14-0) to enter the championship with a win. Bhutan plays Sri Lanka tomorrow.
