All of you need to refer the word ”POLITICIAN” first and then comment. They are politicians and they do what it takes to get their votes. Well, ”what would you do if you were one of them?”. Iam so sure that you might even tell the people that you would bring the sun and the stars for them if you are voted. As long as they serve the King, country and the people with the best of their abilities, why blame them. Let them do their job and please keep aside your childish egoistic minds out of their business. And if you have that much guts, stand before them and shout at them face to face, why bark from behind. OL returned his prado, ”so what?”. Whether he did it for the votes or for what ever reasons, it was a good example of a politician to look upon as an example.I as a youth, is inspired with what he did.

When DPT members confidently said about Soelra from his majesty in the T.V, why are some people still with doubt about soelra. Opposition Leader might have returned Prado to eye wash the public for vote. No wonder people have known that OL owns a brand new Prado(Landcruser) as Soelra from his supporter….

Anything wrong on returning the duty vehicle? The same vehicle is serving the purpose this tenure too. If the vehicle is too old to use after 5 years, then y take that for personnel use again.

The Bhutanese people have elected leaders of their choice, so why blame these leaders?

  4. august15 | August 16th, 2013 at 17:03:10

    Hi Jala,
I hope PDP ministers will follow the example set by their President TT. If they don’t follow then what is use of setting example? If you consider the PDP ministers taking vehicle after five years of tenure as deserving, then why do you blame DPT ministers? Please try to be fair. When it comes to corruption we are yet to be judged, who is more corrupted, whether PDP or DPT. Please wait!
By the way when everything has calm down why to dig out the story again.

  5. jala | August 16th, 2013 at 14:48:07

When the previous ministers have the greed to take 3-4 vehicles, why these group of new ministers should not take one after five years. Ad long as they serve the people without corruption, I think is reasonable to take one prado on finishing their term. ( taking one parado is far better than taking more than one through corruption).

  6. Jangchubsempalugiraw | August 16th, 2013 at 13:34:36

    OK
IN THE END OF 2018 WE WANT’ TO SEE ALL CURRENT PDP MINISTER’S SURRENDERING THEIR DUTY CARS. IF NOT IT WILL NOT BE FAIR. SO BE PREPARED AND ARRANGE NOW ONWARDS TO DO THAT.

  7. DUKPAZAA | August 12th, 2013 at 16:26:13

he was asked by his controller above to do so…..n gain fame…hehhehe poor tshering tobjeyyyyyy

  8. Jigme11 | July 29th, 2013 at 13:07:05

If awarded as Soelra, y is it so that the environment is so quiet and when politicians lambast the people with doubts with the Prado Issues,…. If bit of words is shared things may not have turned worst and may not become as big issue. … so now people are very much skeptical with our leader….

  9. reverberate | July 27th, 2013 at 13:20:42

I hope that the Ministers and PM will reject the offer of new vehicles after resuming the office. Hope they will use their private vehicles and redirect the budget for the developmental activities whereby setting another good example. Cheers!!!

My god what a goodish appeal. As per me understanding and observation, handing back the Prado is not all inspiring. I would say its a very dirty politics. OL just wanted to show his dedication to the king and people of the nation with such a goo fish attitude.
Having worn white kabney after the grant of the king is no where in the history. All the former kings, minister, Dashos and lams and rinpoche are still wearing the kabney which is granted by the beloved king till now.. Isnt that very dirty attitude which is out of the history?
OL TT has said that there is no development during DPT tenure. It is insulted by saying that the development came up with BPC, BMobile and Tashi Telecom. However it is well known that the development done through collaboration and partnership.
Now TT keeping that in mind, better full fill ur manifesto which you have promised and we are watching whether you are doing or the other departments.
And advice from me, please avoid your your aggressive nature and be respectful for the former ministers and Prime Minister. As it is said if you respect others it comes to you…..

  11. Lha Gyelo | July 17th, 2013 at 18:11:11

BBS, who told u that PM requested the king? by now you should have known the facts so please delete this video and upload the true footage. People will be grateful to BBS.

  12. Lha Gyelo | July 17th, 2013 at 18:08:25

M sure vehicle awarding might have done with written letters, if not hundreds of doubts arises by now. OL acted so smart by taking off those patang and kabney before the stipulated time and if the facts is not hidden its seems that he offended and insulted His Majesty by not accepting the Soelra. But by now everything is so different and so frustrating……

  13. laymen for you | July 9th, 2013 at 14:58:11

u know guys this is the dirty poltrics where he was over acted as a OL n for next term to be a pm by showing his sympathy to the nation which was not intended but intended to vooes the innocent voters ….TT is realy playing dirty poltrics which is good for a short period but danger in future…

  14. kehngrig namsum | July 9th, 2013 at 13:38:25

Really inspired the act what OL has done..Returning car back to Government..Why not parties..who were lynpo for more than a decade and owned number of prado…OL has owned only that prado..but return considering the situation Bhutan economic… undertsdaning the people status.. Let us follow good habit from people of wise wisdom and novel..It is areally a novel and good example for the country like us …helping other is a good deeds.
if DPT get re-elected they will use that prado..or to ask again…really robbing the governemtn money..if one prado cost Nu.2500000, then 45 praddo cost….112500000.00 really a huge money..this money will bring one beautiful town planning and some development in rural Bhutan…let us look back from you came , ur relatives, father & mother brother and sister are striving back in the rural Bhutan,,….LET US RE-THINK…ACT accordingly…Look other welfare somtines

so that he gets new one for next five years as opposition leader.

  16. Bomjant | July 1st, 2013 at 16:26:45

Hi all the well wishers, it is very interesting to go through the given comments. They indicate that people who give comments really need support in understanding what politics really is.Sometimes it seems that they blindly comment, they seem to be still as if in the morning slumber, partially deaf, partially blind and mentally not very sound. Looks that their brains are totally washed by the one party or the other. MY DEAR FELLOW CITIZENS! it is time to wake up, it is time to think and re think, analyze and generalize and say “this party is beneficial for me and for my country” and vote to the right party. why say DPT is good and PDP is not. why don’t you see through the inner heart at the country’s position? many of the rights of the general people have been lost. Many suffered, who is responsible? try to find out, try to see and use your power to vote, because it is your right. Do not just cling to one party. Study the pros and cons and go for the best. All the best.

  17. Jigme11 | July 1st, 2013 at 09:58:28

You thugs will never understand their dirty and dangerous plan…..

  18. joker | June 30th, 2013 at 17:28:32

It’s nothing, but a very cheap politics. If he were not a politician, he would not have done that. If he was in the DPT cabinet, he would not have done that. There is nothing to appreciate about rejecting the king’s Solra.

  19. kinzang T dechen | June 30th, 2013 at 10:43:07

we never really know what’s inside and what’s outside but I am pretty sure that this returning back of Prado was the best deed that PDP did. now think it for a while, these people are participating with the sole purpose of helping the country and people overlooking once’s life so the questions should be raised why DPT failed to do so as that of PDP. I think Bhutanese should think and then act : “Action speaks louder than words”…

  20. dtc | June 23rd, 2013 at 00:09:36

opposition leader is like Obama.he is like gold for our country.out of thousand, there wil b only one like him.DPT ministers were mostly ministers for ten to twenty years. They have lots of prado.but non of them could spare to poor people of our country.they are truely selfish. It is not soelra.Prime minister put proposal to HM.Bt DPT ministers misunderstood as a soelra, pretending to forget about proposal. But if Bhutan people dont believed OL, let us see opposition party as ruling party.Sure, all twelve prado wil return back for the sack of inocent people of Bhutan.

  21. yeshey wangchuk | June 17th, 2013 at 20:10:20

i apologize zero if i have wrote sth which contradicted your views…..i just thought after completing his term he returned what belonged to the govt. It was just what i felt……i respect your views….lets hope that the best party win for the betterment of all the people of bhutan……

  22. Myvoice2013 | June 17th, 2013 at 18:01:13

Hello….hello…when you point one finger to someone, the other four points at yourself. BE IT GOOD or BE IT BAD. Its done in the larger interest of the people of Bhutan only…Mena. Why criticize either of the PRESIDENT (DPT/PDP). If either of them is not capable they would not be called PRESIDENT of the party. They can do equally good enough if given a chance…Rang-K-Do-RANG-EN-Ru-Mu. You have your RIGHTS so vote for the right Party. For me I won’t vote just because of the party president. I will study the individual representing our constituency and see what all they got to offer in coming five years. Make sure your would be MP is capable enough to fulfill their promises. It’s just because some of the ex-MPs were useless/lack experience/young blooded and have not been able to fulfill their promises made during their campaign. Tashidelek.

  23. zer0 | June 16th, 2013 at 21:05:24

It is as same as ignoring your old parents when your life goes okay and show them compassion At last when they are old enough to die, just to acquire their property.

  24. zer0 | June 16th, 2013 at 20:23:42

If he really wanted to show his kindness to the people of this nation, he should have returned the prado at the time when he received it and used his own private car. Why only at the end, when the election has come?

  25. yeshey wangchuk | June 15th, 2013 at 16:15:36

When someone takes the initiative to set an example to the youths by doing an act which is exemplary and humble people instead of appreciating such act rather humiliates and discourages. He(PDP president) has arguably become one of the role models for youths of our country and such an unselfish act would inspire our youngsters, there is no harm in returning the property of people back to people, there lies a problem only when they take from people which belongs to people. So lets not take each and every acts of them as political and criticize ……I really appreciate your(OL) humbleness and unselfish act……i dont know about others but as a youth of Bhutan and a student you have inspired, motivated an encouraged me by your this act……..AT LEAST HE IS RETURNING BUT THERE ARE FEW WHO TOOK…..and people knows about it.

  26. flying angel | June 12th, 2013 at 16:30:37

    DRAMA QUEEN

  27. phus | June 12th, 2013 at 11:32:15

when OL returns Prado he is againts the king anf people. he can not accpeting the gift king has given to him. He wants helicopters. Infuture if king gives helicopters Do you think this man will return helicopter back government. Never in the life he will give back.

That is so called dirty politices played to the people to woo the voters. Dont expect such thing where even prophesy can cannot make the truth

  28. zer0 | June 12th, 2013 at 10:03:19

There might be a simple reason for OL to return the used prado: he might have more than that. Or, he thinks instead of having one now, why don’t he come to the power and get two more? He’s tending to show his false sympathy to the people. I request the beloved people to think 100 times before you vote. Do not see only the material benefit of the people, think of our future and the very many generations to come. Our single mistake at this moment may lead the future of our nation into a big chaos.

  29. Kuzuzangpo | June 11th, 2013 at 15:30:04

If OL was one of the soelra beneficiary, he would happily accepted and remain quit with the Prado he used for the past five years. We aren’t new or he isn’t new to us either. We know him for the past many years and even know a type of person he is. He is one who was groom and brought up to this status by our former President of PDP and the man who turn upside down of Former President is none other than OL. Such is the type of person he is. If we make him PM today, he would ruin our nation within a week itself. So, voter be careful when you press your voting machine on 13 July, 2013. DPT gyallo….PDP phamlo…..

  30. stsheri | June 11th, 2013 at 01:09:49

The People of Bhutan trust the DPT as they have ruled for the last 5
years and have improved themselves. The question is whether they have
developed Bhutan or have they developed their own bank balance. The
PDP is not known by the people as they are unable to show Magic.
    Strange but True.

  31. Kuzuzangpo | June 3rd, 2013 at 14:46:42

I support whatever opinions share by OL. But really hate when he tries to look down and always alleging DPT. This time if he really wans to accumulate more votes….he should change his strategy and be more humble and sober in public forum….

  32. sonam t wangchuk | June 1st, 2013 at 21:52:17

its not sure whether he will win votes or not hence i can say that he is not returning his prado for the sake of wining votes. This shows his feeling for the whole citizen of the nation.

DPT candidates have never done such gud things before for the nation n will never do in future too because 2013 is the LAST CHANCE FOR THEM TO EARN AS MUCH AS THEY CAN. IF THEY WIN…for five years think that there will be no development at all..rather there will be more news about corruption n ministers being in prison for fraud n corruption cases. HERE AFTER MOST OF CANDIDATES WILL NOT GET CHANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN ELECTIONS DUE TO AGE. THEY WILL EARN , THEIR POCKET WILL BE FULL N BHUTANESE POOR CITIZENS WILL BECOME FURTHER POORER.

BUT DONT WORY, STILL HAV TIME TO THINK……SO THINK N VOTE FOR DPT….LETS c DPT’s capability of being opposition party. OL TSHERING TOBGAY did best but now its tym to c JYT’s CAPABILITY as opposition leader………

  33. joker | May 28th, 2013 at 14:43:51

For every action he takes, politics is always the underlying factor. As a politician, one should not only try to please the people, but also one should be driven by one’s wisdom and ethics.

  34. kelly kelly | May 28th, 2013 at 14:12:26

he is doing it to get vote but inside he is thinking that he will robed all the people if he happen get vote. he is worst of all…………… a man vvt full of policy. vvvv dont want to rule our country by third class man…..

  35. Tshomem | May 28th, 2013 at 10:31:31

    dear commenters,
why you are not relizing the good things that they have done to our country. we should know that no one in this world is perfect and everyone have a room for mistakes. so appreciate and stop complaining la.

  36. watch-dog | May 26th, 2013 at 21:22:20

He is one of rare exploratory ideal hero of the Bhutanese people who really understand the real and fact situation our country is going through these periods.

Just like him, others who owned the government vehicles should return back to the government as our current economy condition is not good by not looking their own benefits even though they are respecting our king on such solras.

Be good cause of the general public at first step and ultimately as an individual’s benefits if our economy is at much favorable time .

Be good and sensible leader and it is hard to find anywhere in this materialized world. Please united we stand and divide fall down.

  37. sangwaitam | May 17th, 2013 at 18:11:42

That was brilliant exemplary but people felt that it was unintended and forceful return of prados so as to lure vote for forth coming election. However, i wish and hope for the best party ..

  38. Opinion | May 17th, 2013 at 15:47:07

GOOD SHOW. YOU KNOW HOW TO STAGE BY CALLING CAMERAS. LOL

  39. xena | May 16th, 2013 at 11:52:56

may be the prado conditions is almost fuse ,,,,and 2ndly ,,to get vote from the people he might be doing this,,,this is what people do now a days as of policy….we wont know what is in his/ her mind,,,its policy….

  40. boss123 | May 12th, 2013 at 22:43:29

OL is man of humanity and even if was a member of DPT, he could have given back the Prado. He deserve to be real Druk gi bu. Keep up your work OL

  41. pagal | May 10th, 2013 at 15:13:33

giving back the prado is his intention for wooing the voters.

  42. Sobu | May 4th, 2013 at 23:26:27

Wow…great idea! Tshering Tobgay has showed great sympathy to nation’s economy. Why not Damcho Dorji too refund the vehicle allowance BTN 7,00,000.

  43. tlama | May 4th, 2013 at 19:57:46

Some say if the OL was not Ol and in fact one of the members of DPT receiving the requested Soelra, he would have kept without any concerns or thoughts over government’s budget, but as OL, this turned out to be a very good gesture and an example for the future government whoever comes into ruling seat. The other thing what we understand is Lynchen as the head of the ruling party members must have requested by his ministers to request His Majesty for the Soelra on their behalf and while doing so as a leader, he could have excluded himself from the list and got the soelra for his minsters instead and he should not have taken it. This would have been a very heart touching impression and move by him but his greed overtook him and he just could not resist but be part of the team and now seems this will cost them a lot in terms of getting votes for this election. The more you have the more you want, why so? The last shirt you wear will have no pocket (s), meaning you die with not being able to take anything. You are washed when you were born but will be burnt with a brief rinse over your body just to purify you for your onward journey possibly to heaven. God bless you all anyways.
