In-service animal health training at the NRTI

A four week animal health course which began of February 3 concludes on the 28 at the NRTI.A spokesperson from the ministry of agriculture said the participants are extension agents who have had no formal basic animal health training from the Royal Veterinary Institute in Serbithang.

The course has been dealing with basic animal health care, drug usage and calculation zoonosis, immunization/vaccination schedule and epidemiology.

The in-service course funded by the RNR-ESP/DRDS is being held for the second time conducted by the NRTI to the livestock extension staff after having made to perform animal health activities besides specializing in pasture production, fishery, dairy, artificial insemination in their respective geog centres.
