India yesterday released Nu 455 million for the Construction of Anim Shedra (nunnery) at Mongar, a Project Tied Assistance project.

The first secretary (Eco and Com) of Indian Embassy in Thimphu, S Koventhan handed over cheques to Gross National Happiness Commission Director Rinchen Wangdi on January 10.

Government of India so far released Nu 36.252 Billion, which is 80.56 percent of its commitment for the 11th Five Year Plan.

India committed Nu 45 Billion as plan assistance for the 11th FYP of which Nu 28 Billion for Project Tied Assistance (PTA), Nu 8.5 Billion for Small Development Projects (SDP) and Nu 8.5 Billion for programme grant (PG).
