Ambassador of Japan to Bhutan, Takeshi Yagi bid farewell to Lyonchoen Tshering Tobgay yesterday.

The Prime Minister conveyed his deep gratitude to the Ambassador for rendering steadfast support to Bhutan and working in his best interests during his tenure as the Ambassador to Bhutan.

Lyonchoen thanked the out-going Ambassador for his instrumental role in enabling the assistance that Bhutan continues to receive from Japan.  Lyonchoen also expressed that Bhutan would always commit to furthering its relations with Japan through continued cooperation and meaningful exchanges in the future.

Ambassador Yagi said he was confident that his successor’s endeavors would further deepen Bhutan-Japan relations.

The Japanese Ambassador also conveyed his heartiest felicitations on His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo’s 60th Birth Anniversary.

Bhutan and Japan will commemorate the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations next year.
