A 49-year-old man died when the Hyundai Santro car he was travelling in went off the road at Gangula in Mongar yesterday. The incident occurred at around 10am.

It was travelling towards Lingmethang from Mongar town. There were five men in the car, all from Nagor village in Silambi gewog.

According to the Gyalpoizhing police, speeding is the suspected cause of the accident, however an investigation is underway. The police brought the victims to the Mongar Regional Referral Hospital.
