Mandala FC remain atop

Football: Mandala FC remain on the top of the table despite a 2-2 draw over Thimphu City Ladies FC in the ongoing Thimphu Women’s League at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu yesterday.

In an equally contested game, Mandala FC took an early lead in the 25th minute. However, City’s striker Tshering equalised in the dying minutes of the first half which was quickly followed by another swift goal in the added minute.

As the game became more intense in the second, it drew more chances for both the teams. Mandala FC got back in the match when they equalised with 20 minutes remaining on the clock.

The teams settled for a draw at the end of the 90 minutes.

Mandala FC and FC Terton remain undefeated in the league so far.

FC Terton will face Druk Star FC today at 5pm at the Changlimithang Stadium.
