Brief 28 March, 2007 - Two people were seriously injured when the DCM truck they were traveling in went off the road around 6:30pm near the Jaregang Bridge, Wangdue Phodrang on Monday, March 26.
There were 12 passengers including the driver traveling in the truck, which was returning from Kamechu where they had gone to attend a local election.
The two seriously injured have been referred to the national referral hospital in Thimphu. The other ten passengers escaped with minor injuries. Passengers suspect mechanical failure as the cause of the accident.
