Indian Parliament recently has passed the Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Bill to improve the road safety in the country. Offenders will likely have to pay heavy penalties.

Going by the figures shared by the relevant agencies, about 500-600 vehicles exit the Phuentsholing gate in a week bound for Samdrupjongkhar, Nganglam, Gelephu, Lhamoizingkha, and Samtse. Bhutanese vehicles have to take Indian roads for all these destinations.
