The Permanent Mission of Bhutan to the UN in New York hosted a reception on December 14 for members of the diplomatic community to commemorate the 110th National Day.

A press release from the permanent mission states that Over 300 guests comprising heads of missions and representatives of member states and observers of UN, friends of Bhutan and Bhutanese nationals in New York attended the reception. United Bhutanese Association of New York hosted a dinner and a cultural show on December 15.

Ambassador Doma Tshering said the National Day is an occasion to express gratitude to the monarchs, to celebrate their achievements and an opportunity for all Bhutanese to reaffirm their commitments in the service of the Tsawa-Sum.
