A draft national gender equality policy under review by the Gross National Happiness Commission (GNHC) proposes significant steps towards creating gender equality, one of which is to advocate and uphold the rights of commercial sex workers.

Drafted by the National Commission for Women and Children (NCWC), the policy explores gender equality through the three domains – political, social and economic.
