Singye Dorji Doya chose to stay home herding cattle

One by one Lhops are dropping out of school

Singye Dorji Doya, 18, is a soft-spoken Lhop (Doya) in Ngawang Dramtoe village. He has found employment quite young – his job is to help his parents.

These days, he is herding cattle or goats. Soon, he would help in the cultivation of maize and millet. Singye dropped out of school in 2018.
