Labour minister Ngeema Sangay Tshempo inaugurated the College of Rigney at the Institute of Zorig Chusum in Trashiyangtse on August 26. The college will offer a year long  intensive zorig chusum programme in lhadri, patra and jimzo trades. Students can also enrol for a three years degree programme in Rigney. The curriculum for Rigney programme will be adopted from the College of Language and Cultural Studies in Taktse. The degree will be awarded by the Royal University of Bhutan. The first batch of students at the college comprise of six males and six females, who  completed class XII from various schools around the country.
