Winning six gold and five bronze medals, Chaskhar Central School (CS) won the senior category title during the two-day inter-school taekwondo championship in Mongar.

Gyelpoishing CS participants were the runners-up. In the junior category, Yadi CS bagged the first prize while Chaskhar CS stood second. A total of 288 students from nine schools in Mongar participated in the championship.

The dzongkhag taekwondo association organised the tournament with financial support from the Bhutan Olympic Committee and Taekwondo Federation.
