Following tradition, Trongsa dratshang Lam Neten appointed lam Tshewang Rinzin, 63 as the new Lam for Jakar Dratshang yesterday. Lam Tshewang Rinzin began his monkhood in Trongsa and went on to become a student of late Je Khenpo Geduen Rinchen in Phajoding. Before becoming the Jakar dratshang lam, he served as Choedra goenpa lam for 16 years.
