Lyonchhen Dr Lotay Tshering met with the foreign secretary of India, Vijay Gokhale, at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang yesterday.

The foreign secretary conveyed the warm wishes of the Prime Minister of India and assured Lyonchhen that India would continue to support Bhutan based on the country’s priorities.

On behalf of Prime Minister Modi, he extended an invitation to Lyonchhen to visit India.

Lyonchhen said Bhutan and India’s foreign policy should not change every five years with the change of government.
