Eight men, including five civil servants and three private individuals, were awarded the prestigious Nehru-Wangchuck Scholarship to pursue postgraduate and diploma studies at some of the premier seats of learning in India. They will be studying M. Tech in civil and construction engineering, MBA, and hospitality and hotel management. The Embassy of India hosted a meet the scholars session yesterday at the Nehru Wangchuck Cultural Centre, Thimphu. Labour minister Neema Sangay Tshempo, Indian ambassador Gautam Bambawale, RCSC commissioners and officials from government and Indian embassy attended the event.
