Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay, today, left for an official visit to Brussels, Belgium and Switzerland, a press release from the foreign ministry states.

While in Brussels, Lyonchhen will call on the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, Jean-Claude-Juncker, President of the European Commission and other senior officials of the EU.

In Switzerland, Lyonchhen will meet the President of the Swiss Confederation Alain Berset and other senior officials of the Swiss Government.

The visits will provide an opportunity to convey Bhutan’s appreciation to the EU and Switzerland for their support to the country’s Socio-economic development. The visits will further strengthen Bhutan’s close ties of friendship and cooperation with the EU and Switzerland and also explore future areas of cooperation.
