Thimphu police arrested a 21-year-old man for possessing 7,019 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus (SP+) on February 1. The man from Sarpang works as a meat van driver.

From January 1 until February 5, Thimphu police arrested 49 people for abusing and possessing controlled substances.

Of the total arrested, who were aged between 15 and 34 years, police referred 33, including two women to the Treatment Assessment Panel (TAP) for assessment. The rest, including a woman, were detained for illicit trafficking and possession of controlled substances.

A total of 11,239 capsules of SP+, 90 tablets of Nitrosun 10 (N10), about 2.96 and 2.18 grams of hashish and dried marijuana leaves (Puriya) were seized.
