RBP and health officials rescue unconscious workers

Fire and rescue team of the Royal Bhutan Police and the emergency response team of JDWNRH rescued two Indian labourers and a supervisor from dusitD2 Yarkay’s underground in Thimphu yesterday.

The labourers, who were building water tank underground, had fallen unconscious due to lack of oxygen at hotel’s extended construction site.

When the supervisor saw the two workers unconscious, he went in to help. Soon the supervisor himself fell unconscious. A friend who saw this happen called the police and the rescue team brought them out.

The supervisor and the two labourers were taken to the hospital immediately.
