Sparing for those who cannot afford

It was 5pm and government offices were done for the day. Within 30 minutes, the cabinet ministers and opposition leader arrived at the Motithang fuel depot in Thimphu to surrender their subsidised LPG cylinders.

The prime minister, cabinet ministers, opposition leader, national council chairperson, the chief justice of the supreme court, ACC chairperson, attorney general and the auditor general together surrendered 21 subsidised cylinders to the depot yesterday. They had gathered to create awareness on how people in urban areas can surrender their LPG for others who cannot afford the non-subsidised LPG.
