Competition: A Motithang Higher Secondary School student, Ugyen Zangmo, won the first prize in the open essay and poem writing competition in English on “Teachers make a difference,” that the Kuzoo FM had organised to celebrate Teachers’ day today.

In the Dzongkha category, Sonam Tenzin of Kuenselphodrang Primary School won the first prize.

Nima Dema of Samtse College of Education stood second, while Magma Dema of Mendrelgang Central School in Tsirang came third. A total of 25 people had participated in the competition for the English category.

In the Dzongkha category, Chogyel Namcha Dhendu, a resident of Dochula bagged the second prize while Sonam Tenzin a resident of Kalabazar won the third prize. The Dzongkha category received entries from 35 participants.

The winners were awarded books as prizes. Druk Holding and Investments limited, Ministry of Education and Megha Enterprise sponsored the competition.
