Tennis championship ends in Thimphu 

Tenzin Singye Dorji and Sushila Rai won the 2nd Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel National open tennis championship that ended yesterday in Thimphu.

The former won the championship for two consecutive years defeating Yonten Gyeltshen in men’s singles and Sushila Rai defeated Pema Chenzom in the women’s single.

Tashi Tobgay won the veteran single and Tshering Tobgay was the runners-up.

In the senior category, D P Mishra took the Winner’s trophy and Karma Dorji bagged runners-up position.

Tenzin Singye Dorji and Nidup Gyeltshen won open doubles category. The tournament began on December 15.
