Police are yet to detain the three non-Bhutanese who are suspected to be involved in a larceny case that occurred on April 7 in Phuentsholing.

Three days after the incident, a 35-year-old man reported to police that some miscreants had stolen Nu 400,000 from his bike’s saddle bag, which was parked near a store in Phuentsholing town.

According to the man’s statement to police, he parked the bike near the store and went to a meat shop.  After about 45 minutes, he learned that the money which was to be used to pay for a party was missing.

From CCTV footage installed near the store, police learned that there were three suspects involved in the crime. One of the suspects works in a meat shop, another one at a store while the identity of the third is still unknown.

When the police went to questions the suspects, two of the suspects had left for their residence in Jaigaon.

The case is under investigation.
