I’ve been working out for over two years now. I’ve achieved my goal of looking and feeling fit. I constantly complete and do all my routines. Since I’ve already achieved my goal, now what should I do? I wanted to know your thoughts on this because sometimes it’s difficult to keep on working out after achieving my goals. How far should I be working out?

Hi Sangay,

Congratulations on achieving your goals! Achieving goals never fail to inspire yourself and others witnessing your achievements.

I cannot tell you what you should do next but it should naturally take birth from within.

But what I can tell you is like life, health and fitness is a constant learning process, the more you become aware, the more you realise how much there is yet to learn and experience.

So one can never run out of goals to set and try your very best to achieve them, it’s not much about achievement itself, but more so about a constant positive self improvement in every way possible.

I get a sense that you are jaded with the path you are on, as it is a routine, is repetitive and lack uncertainty, and the element of surprise and excitement.

Concerning training, I would highly recommended setting performance goals, by trying a completely different form of training to what you have been doing. For example, if you have been weight training primarily in your workouts, do exercise that involves only your body weight, you could also consider cross fit training.

If you have been doing long runs or jogging, try short all out sprints, if you have been focusing more on strength, now you can focus more on mobility, balance and flexibility.

The list goes on, but you must set concrete tangible goals to achieve them.

Nutrition is what makes or breaks you, work on improving your nutrition, learn more about it, commit more to it, and experience the quality of your health and life rising to newer heights.

You will never run out of goals, all you need to do is ask yourself the right questions.
