In the opening of Ugyen Trading House Women’s Super league 2018, the football team Sunrise Women defeated Thimphu City Ladies 4-0 in Changlingmithang national stadium yesterday.

Thimphu City Ladies finished as second runners up in the last edition. Sunrise Women are playing the league for the first time this year. The club is the only women’s team to field foreign players in the league.

Mandala FC defeated Thimphu FC 3-0 in the second game on the opening day.

A total of six teams are participating in the league.
