WASH facilities good but health centers inaccessible to the disabled

Lack of accessibility to health facilities for persons with disabilities in health care centers of rural areas was one of the major challenges in the four hospitals visited by the participants of the global learning event held in Punakha.

Themed ‘water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in rural health care facilities,’ the event brought together participants from nine countries since May 6 to share and discuss concerns and good practices in health care facilities.
