Police in Trashiyangtse arrested two men, aged 27 and 18, for alleged attempt of murder and robbery of a dzee, commonly called as cat’s eye.

The incident took place on the morning of June 6 when a 62-year-old woman was herding cattle near Trashiyangtse town.

According to police, the two men, who are unemployed, hit the woman on the head with a wood and robbed off the dzee from her neck.

Police on duty saw the woman injured and took her to hospital. She was sent home after two days at the hospital.

Sources said relatives of victim reported to police about the two men running away after injuring the woman. Police arrested them the same day.

The woman and two men are from the same village.

Police sources said they would forward the case to the Office of Attorney General (OAG) after they complete the investigation.
